The fans voted and the results are in! The winner of the Idaho Potato Commission’s (IPC) first-ever Virtual Side Dish Challenge is Rachael Hutchings of the popular food blog, La Fuji Mama. As a resident of Lehi, Utah, Hutchings and her winning recipe for Coconut Lime Idaho® Potatoes Anna earned a $5,000 donation for her local Meals On Wheels program of the Mountainland Association of Governments in Orem.

Two Big Idaho® Potatoes Ring in the New Year

As the saying goes “we grow ‘em big in Idaho” and that’s no joke. On New Year’s Eve, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) was a sponsor of the inaugural New Year’s Eve Idaho® Potato Drop in downtown Boise, ID. The Great Big Idaho® Potato Truck, Spuddy Buddy and 40,000 revelers rang in 2014 as a 17-foot long glowing potato was lowered from a crane into the crowd as the countdown to midnight began.
